We are Cultureight Travel—utterly authentic, eco-friendly, cultural adventures in the Philippines. It’s not a tour, it’s an experience.
Why choose us?
We focus on the most authentic experience.
We only do small groups. How can you experience and isolated island with a bus load of people?
We are untouristy. We won’t bring you to the chain restaurant or the flashy hotel.
We have cool guides. We have our crazy Tour Chiefs to lead the group, and we only use local guides who are passionate about their culture.
We believe in Socially Responsible Tourism.
We help the communities we visit, and we encourage our guests to do the same.
We treat the areas and people we visit with great respect, and we teach our guests the same.
We bring you to places that are generally unexplored.
We love what we do!
And since we love you too, we customize tours anywhere in the Philippines - just for you! If ever you do not see your tour date, Please contact us so we may open up for you.
The C’s of Cultureight Travel
What is Cultureight? What’s the concept behind it?
Cultureight was started by Charisse Aquino-Tugade and Carlo Ebeo in late 2008.
We provide utterly authentic, eco-friendly, cultural adventures in the Philippines. This is the newest breed of un-tour that has set foot on the 7,107 islands.
We at Cultureight love to adventure to the unexplored parts of the Philippine islands. We want to preserve our Philippine culture, and the only way we know how is to bring you along with us. More than 110 cultural communities and their pristine environment are under the threat of extinction. Lack of cultural and environmental appreciation hampered by haphazard development has taken its toll. Cultureight would like to stop it through one responsible tourist at a time. By visiting local communities and learning about their heritage, their handicrafts, their homes and their community projects, guests gain a better understanding of the world around them while locals are able to earn a living while preserving their culture and environment. By bringing small groups to these areas and only utilizing local transportation and family-run venues, our impact and carbon emissions are kept at a very low level. With small group travel, communities aren’t bombarded and there is an even exchange of cultural ideas. In the end, everyone is empowered. Sustainability is our priority. Responsibility is our main concern. Finding yourself is the ultimate destination. This is our vision. Come join us for a not-so-conventional adventure.Walks and the Expeditions.
